Your Authentication Password is the password used to access your BGSU E-mail, MyBGSU, the Personal Web Server, ePortfolio and your Windows Domain account.

To change your password to all of these systems, please follow the steps below:

1. Login to the "My BGSU" web portal --> http://my.bgsu.edu
2. In the MyServices portlet, click Change Password under Account Admin.
3. In the box marked " Old Password ", enter your authentication password. In the " New Password " and " Confirm New Password " boxes, enter a new password that you will be able to remember. Your new password must meet these requirements:
   
   
   • Be 6 to 8 characters in length
   • Begin with an alphabetic character
   • Contain at least one lowercase letter
   • Contain at least one capital letter
   • Contain at least one of the following characters: ! . , $%?*#<>( )
   • NOT contain the following characters: semicolons (;), colons (:), quotes ('), double quotes ("), dashes (-), slashes (/ \), and at signs (@)
4. Click Submit
5. If the password you selected meets the criteria above, you will receive a confirmation message that your password was successfully changed.

NOTE: The process to change passwords runs every five to ten minutes. Your password will be changed the next time the process runs. Please allow at least ten minutes for the change to take affect. This process will reset your password on all accounts listed above.
