Displaying Full E-mail Headers
ITS technical support staff will sometimes ask you to provide full e-mail header information when you contact us with certain problems, questions, or requests. Full headers cannot be displayed in Outlook Web Access (OWA) Light.
Outlook 2007 - Outlook 2010 - OWA Premium - Entourage 2008 or Outlook 2011
Steps to Display Full Headers with Outlook 2007:
- Double-click on the message in your messages list to open it in a new window.
- Along the ribbon at the top of the message, locate the Options tab and click the small arrow in the bottom right corner to display the Message Options dialog box.

- The full header (or Internet Headers) can be viewed at the bottom of the Message Options dialog box. If you need to forward a copy of the message to our technical support staff, copy and paste the internet headers into it.

Steps to Display Full Headers with Outlook 2010:
- Double-click on the message in your messages list to open it in a new window.
- Along the top of the page locate the orange file button.

- Select properties from the File page.
- The full header (or Internet Headers) can be viewed at the bottom of the Message Options dialog box. If you need to forward a copy of the message to our technical support staff, copy and paste the internet headers into it.

Steps to Display Full Headers with Outlook Web Access (OWA) Premium 2007:
- Double-click on the message in your messages list to open it in a new window.
- Locate the Message Details button on the top of your message window and click it.

- The full header (or Internet Headers) can be viewed at the bottom of the Message Details dialog box. If you need to forward a copy of the message to our technical support staff, copy and paste the internet headers into it.

Steps to Display Full Headers with Entourage 2008 or Outlook 2011:
- With the message closed, click it to make it the active message.
- On the Message menu, select 'Internet Headers' -- the 2nd to last item on the list or if in Outlook 2011, right click on the message and select 'View Source'
- A pop-up window that includes the header will be displayed. If you need to forward a copy of the message to our technical support staff, copy and paste the internet headers into it.
