Hiding/Showing a Portlet on Your MyBGSU Page

To hide a portlet:

1. Click on the 'Customize Page' link in the horizontal navigation bar in the upper right corner of any page in the MyBGSU Enterprise Portal.

2. When the Customize Page is displayed, click the tab of the page that contains the portlet you want to hide. The Welcome tab is pre-selected when the page is opened. The MyCourses portlet on the Welcome page will be used in this example.

3. Put a checkmark in the box right before the name of the portlet and press the 'Hide' button at the top of the page.

4. Notice that portlet is now highlighted gray; this means it is hidden. Now click the 'Close' button located at the top or bottom right of the page to close the customize page and return to MyBGSU.

5. Since the portlet is hidden, it should no longer be included in your view of the portal. 

To make a hidden portlet viewable again:    

1. Click on the 'Customize Page' link in the horizontal navigation bar in the upper right corner of any page in the MyBGSU Enterprise Portal.

2. When the Customize Page is displayed, click the tab of the page that contains the hidden portlet. The Welcome tab is pre-selected when the page is opened. The MyCourses portlet on the Welcome page will be used in this example.

3. Put a checkmark in the box right before the name of the greyed-out portlet and press the 'Show' button at the top of the page

4. Notice that the portlet you selected is not grayed out any more; this means it is being shown. Now click the 'Close' button located at the top or bottom right of the page.

5. The portlet that was hidden should now be included in your view of the portal.
