Open forums to demonstrate the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) and the new MyBGSU portal from the student perspective are scheduled for February. All students are encouraged to attend.
The open forums will be offered on
- Friday, February 8 at 10:00 a.m.
- Thursday, February 21 at 2:30 p.m.
Both sessions will be held in 113 Olscamp and teleconferenced to 1011 CPC at Firelands.
Attending an open forum will provide students with information on the advantages of Canvas, explain why Canvas and Blackboard courses are currently both appearing in MyBGSU, and show how to set up notifications and other best practices for configuring Canvas preferences.
Additionally, the open forums will provide information on the new portal that is currently being piloted. This portal will be a replacement for the current MyBGSU and open forum attendees will see a demonstration of this new portal and it’s features. Participants will also be encouraged to ask questions about the portal and suggest additional portal features.
