You will need these browser features to use Blackboard 6.

• Clearing Browser Cache for Temporary Internet files
• Enabling Cookies
• Enabling JavaScript
• Disabling any pop-up window blockers, if installed
• Security warnings 

Throughout the instructions below, words that are italicized are exactly as they appear on your browser's menu.

Clearing Browser Cache

1. Click Tools on the Firefox menu bar and select Options
2. On the Options window, click on the Privacy Icon.
3. In the Private Data area click on the Settings button.
4. On the Clear Private Data check the Cache checkbox (Note: make sure you have unchecked the options you want to keep).
5. Click OK on the Clear Private Data window to close it.
6. Click Clear Now and then on the Clear Private Data window click Clear Private Data Now button.
7. Exit and re-launch the browser.

Enabling Cookies

1. Click Tools on the Firefix menu bar and select Options
2. On the Options window, click on the Privacy Icon.
3. In the Cookies area check the Accept cookies from sites checkbox.
4. Click OK on the Options window to close it.
5. Exit and re-launch the browser.

Enabling JavaScript

1. Click Tools on the Firefox menu bar and select Options
2. On the Options window, click on the Content Icon.
3. Check the Enable Javascript checkbox.
4. Click OK to close the Options window and then Reload the webpage.
