Cisco Phone FAQ's

By default, the video feature will be turned off.

If for any reason the video is turned on and you would like to disable the video, press the applications button, with the gear icon, on your phone and then dial 2 – 4 – 2.  To exit the menu press the apply button from the soft key, and then press back, back and apply with the first soft key each time.

Until the telephone implementation phase is complete (projected to be October), calls between old Avaya phones and new Cisco phones may have incomplete display information.  This will be resolved once the cutover has been totally completed.

The phone displays are set to be active from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Outside of these hours, the display is off but pressing any button or lifting the handset will turn the display on.

This phone directory information is published as new users are added to the new phone system.  The BGSU phone directory will include only users who have been cutover to the new system.  Once the process is complete, the phone directory will be complete.

The DND soft key allows users to put their phone into Do Not Disturb mode.

Speed Dials may be set up at  https://myphone.bgsu.edu/ucmuser .  Users may set up their speed dials using this web site after they have been cutover to the new system.
