If you are a BGSU student, all information displayed in a BGSU Directory Search except your e-mail address depends on your status.
- student living on campus (except graduate assistants) : your address and phone is your campus residence and campus phone number
NOTE: At the end of the spring semester on campus addresses are automatically inactivated for students not living on campus over the summer. Your directory address will become either: 1) your mailing address; or 2) your home address, if no mailing address is provided. No forwarding address is required, but students should make sure that mailing and/or home addresses are accurate.
- graduate student with an assistantship : your address and phone is for the department funding your contract unless you request a change to your campus mailing address through the Graduate College
- student living off campus (except graduate assistants) : your address and phone is your off-campus local address and local phone if reported to Registration & Records; otherwise your permanent address and home phone number
For e-mail address :
- Your BGSU e-mail address is displayed. If you want your BGSU e-mail forwarded to another address you specify, see Redirecting (forwarding your BGSU Exchange E-mail for instructions. Contact the Technology Support Center at 419-372-0999 with questions.
You can view the data displayed in a BGSU Directory Search by logging into MyBGSU and selecting Update Personal Information under Student Services in the My Services module. Off-campus students can update their mailing address and phone using MyBGSU. For personal data fields that are not accessible for edit, there are instructions with the office to contact to request an update. For example, on-campus students will see their Residence Hall address as maintained by the Office of Residence Life but cannot modify it themselves. Instead students are directed to contact the Office of Residence Life to request a change to the displayed information for this data. Also graduate student employees may view their employment information in MyBGSU but need to request updates to it by contacting the Graduate College.
