  • The main page for Information Technology Services is located at: http://www.bgsu.edu/its. The department provides technical support for campus mainframes, campus servers, institutionally-owned desktop computer systems in labs and offices, the campus telephone system plus wired and wireless access to the campus network. We are under the Office of the CIO at http://www.bgsu.edu/offices/cio

  • The Technology Support Center (TSC) in room 110, Hayes Hall, is the primary point of contact for technical support of institutionally-owned computer systems and telephones. Online assistance is available at: http://www.bgsu.edu/its/tsc/self-help. Clients can also request help by filling in one of the online forms at http://www.bgsu.edu/its/tsc/page9500.html, by calling (419) 372-0999 or sending email to tsc@bgsu.edu .

  • Students looking for more in depth assistance with computer technology needed for a class project or tutoring should visit the Student Technology Center or consult their web page at URL http://www.bgsu.edu/studenttech . The Student Technology Center is located in 127 Hayes Hall.

  • Students living on campus should first consult the Residential Computing Connection for technical assistance by visiting their web site at http://rcc.bgsu.edu/ or sending email to rcc@bgsu.edu .

  • Information pertaining to BGSU's email system called BGNet is available at  http://www.bgsu.edu/its/tsc/self-help/page9613.html .

  • Everyone who receives a BGNet account will also be able to access MyBGSU, BGSU's enterprise portal. With a single sign-on, MyBGSU provides a single source to access to multiple systems and services in an environment that is tailored to your affliation with BGSU.  Within MyBGSU, you can also access BGSU's Blackboard portal for online courses and campus communities by clicking on the MyCourses tab.   • For the 2006-2007 academic year, BGSU joined with other institutions in the Inter-University Council of Ohio (IUC) to negotiate a Microsoft campus agreement so that BGSU is able to offer access to popular Microsoft software at substantial savings to faculty, staff, and students.  For details see http://www.bgsu.edu/its/software/microsoft/.

  • At http://www.bgsu.edu/its/labs/, computer lab hours and other information about lab facilities is available. Staff in ITS labs will answer basic questions about available software.  Faculty may reserve labs for instructional purposes by completing the form at :  http://www.bgsu.edu/its/labs/reserve/page10657.html .

  • Students who want to withhold personally identifiable directory information (e-mail address, phone number, etc. ) should complete the withholding form at http://www.bgsu.edu/downloads/academics/file5597.pdf and send in a signed copy to the Office of Registration and Records in room 110, Administration Building.

  • ITS computer accounts for BGSU students are available for up to six months after those individuals are no longer registered for classes. BGSU faculty and staff accounts are eligible for deletion within one week after employment is terminated.
