Wireless Pricing & surveys

Installation

All Wireless Access Points on the BGSU campus must be installed and configured by ITS. ITS has standardized on Cisco Access Points. Faculty, Staff and students are not permitted to connect their own wireless Access Points to the BGSU network.

Pricing varies per location, size, and use. To find out what it would cost you to get a wireless network contact Mike Smith at networking@bgsu.edu for a free site survey.

Site Surveys

Site Surveys are done to determine how many wireless access points are needed to cover the desired area. Site surveys will also discover any noise that might interfere with the wireless signal and are a necessary part of installing a new wireless network.
