Bowling Green State University
Several Administrative Computer Systems support the various administrative user offices on campus. These offices provide services such as student grade processing, billing, payroll, accounting and many others. The information from these offices is stored on the legacy mainframe databases. This data is now being made available to our students and staff through Web and Interactive Voice Response(IVR) applications.
To obtain access to any of these systems, first a CICS logon ID must be obtained from Information Technology Services. For information about how to obtain this CICS access, contact the Technology Support Center. They can be reached via the web or by phone at 419-372-0999. Answers to common questions about CICS can be found on the CICS FAQ page. The list of the Administrative Computing Systems that require a CICS account is found below.
- AFIN-Advantage Financial (replaced by PeopleSoft FMS)
- AHRS-Advantage Human Resource & Payroll System (replaced by PeopleSoft HCM)
- AMS SIS-Student Information System (in process of being replaced by PeopleSoft CSS; CSS will be the system of record by summer '09)
- DARS - Degree Audit Requirement System
- SAM - Student Aid Management (Financial Aid) (replaced by PeopleSoft CSS for financial aid for 2009-2010 and beyond)
- BGSU/SIS - Housing (replaced by RMS (Residential Management System) for Fall 2009 and beyond)
- PINNACLE - Telephone Billing System
