When you run a report request, by default the data values are collected and presented in a viewable form, complete with column titles and formatting features. Instead of viewing the data values, you can save them to a special data file to: Display as a Web page, as a printed document, or in a text document. Process in another application, such as a spreadsheet, a database, a word processor, or a 3GL program. Send to another location, such as a browser or PC. Extract a subset of the original data source in order to generate multi‑step reports.
