On Monday, April 21, 2014, Anne Lake presented on the topic of “Deducing Moriarty: BBC’s Sherlock and the Musical Acousmêtre” to the students enrolled in Dr. Heath A. Diehl’s HNRS 4000: Sherlock Holmes in Adaptation course. Lake is a graduate of BGSU with a Bachelor’s degree from the College of Musical Arts. She currently is pursuing a Master’s degree in Library Science and a Ph.D. in Musicology at Indiana University, Bloomington. The paper originally was written for a course on Film Music Methodology in which Lake was enrolled during the fall of the 2013-2014 academic year. Lake will present the paper at the tenth annual Music and the Moving Image conference in New York City in May 2014.
