Graduate Student Orientation

The GSO Ongoing Program and many other offices across campus, sponsor a variety of seminars and training workshops that are open to all students on campus. You can complete all session hours through seminars/workshops. The maximum number of hours that may be completed by watching videos is 7 session hours - this includes the 5 mandatory online module and video sessions.

Although there are a wide variety of sessions you can use towards GSO credit, any sessions offered below are also pre-approved:

• Online Videos of GSO sessions. 
• CTL (Center for Teaching and Learning) workshops
  The Center for Teaching and Learning is dedicated to creating an environment for graduate students and faculty to achieve excellence in teaching through innovation, collaboration and technological support. • Career Services workshops
  Visit Career Services Calendar for workshops and fairs organized for both undergraduate and graduate students.
• Library workshops
  Visit the University Libraries Workshop page to see what’s coming.  RefWorks, Beyond EBSCO, and many more great information sessions are available.
• Women's Center seminars  
  The Women's Center provides resources, support, and advocacy for women as they pursue their individual and collective goals. Find community activities, seminars, groups, links among other interesting and informative things.
• Continued and Extended Education workshops
• COBL (Center for Online and Blended Learning) 
• ITS (Information Technology Services)
  ITS offers a wide variety of facilities and services for the BGSU community, all of which can be accessed here. This page contains links and information about computer training facilities, the University KeyServer, job opportunities, virus protection, the Technology Support Center, and related areas.
