Transcripts

An official transcript of a student’s record is used for transferring credits to other colleges and universities and for transmitting information to certifying agencies and employers. An official transcript is issued only at the written request of the student. An official transcript is not released for a student who is delinquent on any financial obligation to the University or who is not fully admitted. Requests for transcripts to be picked up in person should be submitted at least 24 hours in advance to the Office of Registration and Records, 110 Administration Building, on the BGSU campus. If ordered from 104 East Building on the Firelands campus, transcripts will take at least one week for processing. Photo identification is required. You also may order transcripts by downloading, printing, and completing the transcript order form, then mailing or faxing it to the Office of Registration and Records [See address and fax number above]. The printable Transcript Order Form can be found here: http://www.bgsu.edu/offices/registrar/page5601.html.

Transcripts from other institutions that have been presented for admission or evaluation become part of the student’s permanent academic file and are not returned or copied for distribution. Students desiring transcripts covering work completed elsewhere should request them from the institutions concerned.
