PRETZER INTERNATIONAL FUND
Study Abroad Scholarship
Bowling Green State University
Center for International Programs
The Pretzer International fund was created through the generosity of Drs. Wallace and Diane Pretzer. Wallace is a professor emeritus of English at BGSU, where he developed the General Studies Writing Program (1972), taught Linguistics and English as a Second Language, and trained students to teach English as a Second Language. Diane is an associate professor emeritus and former chair of Romance Languages, where she specialized in Spanish language and Latin American-related courses. Both are avid international travelers and enjoy the relationships they have built with students and faculty, particularly those involved in the BGSU-Xi’an International Studies University exchange program. Wally was a member of the first faculty Xi’an exchange in 1983-84.
The primary purpose of the Pretzer International Fund is to encourage and facilitate international experiences for individuals associated with BGSU.
