England - Staffordshire 

Located approximately forty-five minutes from Birmingham and Manchester and two hours from London by rail, Keele University is the UK''s largest integrated campus university, and boasts a population of about 7,000 students.

Bowling Green State University maintains a dual relationship with Keele University including an exchange program open to all majors as well as the semester abroad in England specifically for Education majors.

 

 

Education Majors

Every spring semester, 15 BGSU Education majors study abroad at Keele University under the direction of a BGSU faculty member. Students receive credit for specific education courses at BGSU. Tuition is paid to BGSU while housing costs are paid upon arrival at Keele. Exchange Program - all other majors

Bowling Green State University’s exchange program with Keele University is open to students of all majors. Students are able to choose classes from the full curriculum of courses offered by the University. Housing is on-campus in single rooms with access to kitchen facilities. Students pay BGSU tuition directly to Bowling Green and housing costs (which do not include meals) upon arrival at Keele University.

Students must have attained at least junior status prior to attending the exchange at Keele University and have at least a 3.0 GPA. Students may study at Keele during the spring semester or for the entire academic year. Fall semester study is discouraged because of the overlapping of Keele’s fall semester and the beginning of BGSU’s spring semester.

Applications for the exchange program are available through BGSU’s Education Abroad Office. The application deadline is October 5 for admission in January, and March 1 for admission in September. Information for students studying abroad at Keele University can be found here.
