Submission of Presentation Abstracts
Presentations can include conceptual and review papers, data-based studies, and creative works. Students interested in presenting during the symposium may do so individually or as a group.
- Individual presentations will last 15-20 minutes (depending on the number of submissions). These talks will be followed by time for audience interaction and discussion.
- Group presentations will include 2-5 presenters discussing a single topic or related topics. These presentations involve 5-10 minute talks by each participant, followed by time for audience interaction.
- Visual creative works (e.g., painting, ceramics, photography) will be displayed during the symposium luncheon.
- Performance creative works will last 15-20 minutes (depending on the number of submissions). Performances will be followed by time for audience interaction and discussion.
Submissions Procedures:
- Complete the Submission Cover Page, attached here.
- Submit a One Page Abstract consistent with the following guidelines:
- Place the title on the top line followed by a double space and then the authors’ first and last name, their academic department/program, and the name of their advisor for the project (if applicable) followed by another double line space.
- The text of the abstract should be single spaced, left-justified.
- Abstracts should not exceed one page.
- E-Mail the completed cover sheet and the abstract to: vkrane@bgsu.edu
Submission deadline: To be considered for inclusion on the program, abstracts must be received by 5:00 pm March 29 2009.
