This annual festival, now in its thirteenth year, screens over 80,000, the festival screens over 175 narrative features, documentaries, shorts, and music videos. Final Deadline: February 9 (Short Length Films/Music Videos); March 1 (Feature Length Films). Website: lafilmfest.com
San Fernando International Film Festival, North Hollywood, CA

This year will mark the fourth year of the successful and well-received San Fernando Valley International Film Festival, a festival that offers a tremendous opportunity for writers and filmmakers to demonstrate their craft to the public and industry decision makers. The Delta Interational Film and Video Festival at Delta State University, Cleveland, MS

The Delta International Film and Video Festival is devoted to showcasing the work of independent film and video artists welcoming submissions from established and emerging artists working in the United States and internationally. The festival especially seeks work made by students currently enrolled in college or university and this year's festival will include a "DSU Student Showcase," which will highlight the best student work made at Delta State University. Method Fest, Calabasas, CA

The Method Fest features American and foreign feature films and short films and is named after "The Method" school of acting, which revolutionized the approach in acting, particularly in film. Grant-in-Aid Auditions at Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, OH
The Department of Theatre and Film Grant-in-aid program provides financial support for gifted students participating in the areas of acting, technical theatre and film. It is a financial award given to an individual on a competitive basis in exchange for significant participation in the department. Applications available from November to February. The Austin Film Society offers a multi-faceted Internship and Arts Apprentice program. Student Academy Awards
The Student Academy Awards is a national competition conducted by the Academy and the Academy Foundation. Each year over 300 college and university film students from all over the United States compete for awards and cash grants, with films being judged in four categories: animation, documentary, narrative and alternative.Deadline: April 2nd.
