This degree is well-suited for theatre students who already have a more defined career focus. The course of study is intensive and provides a strong foundation in a specialized area of theatre.

This degree includes 70 hours of coursework outside of the department, as well as a core theatre curriculum and a specialized course of study. Instead of a minor, each BAC major must fulfill a support field requirement. This support field requirement can be met by courses chosen by the student and approved by that student's theatre department advisor.

All BAC in Theatre students, regardless of their specialization, must take the following core courses:

• Production Practicum (6 hours)
• Major Event Participation (two semesters)
• THFM 1910 - Script Analysis
• THFM 3470 Theatre History & Literature: Origins-1700s
• THFM 3480 Theatre History & Literature: 1700s-Present
• THFM 4600 Period, Style & Form
• THFM 4980 Senior Seminar

Youth Theatre/Puppetry (20 hours):

• THFM 2410 Acting Principles
• THFM 3410 Directing
• Select one of either: THFM 1470 or 1480
• Select two of these: THFM 2420, 3400, 4400, 4430 or 4590
• Select two of these: THFM 3600, 3610, 4610 or 4620

Plus 9 credit hours of classes outside the Theatre major as approved by your advisor.
