of ways to gain hands-on experience in media-related entities.
Getting involved with these organizations can greatly enhance
your educational experience by providing skills and professional
practices. In the spotlight or behind the scenes, students
use state-of-the-art technology while building lasting friendships.
Participate in these organizations as early as your freshman
year.
Bowling Green Radio News Organization
(BGRNO)
Bowling Green's up-to-the-minute radio news source. BGRNO
provides the latest news, weather, and sports five days a
week on the two campus radio stations, WBGU 88.1 FM and WFAL
1610 AM. Students cover local and national news, write copy,
and report live on the air.
BG
24 News
BG 24 is Bowling Green's local television news source, keeping
you up-to-date on current news, weather, and sports. It airs
Tuesday through Friday at 5:30 PM on BG cable channel 6. Students
work behind the scenes as well as in front of the camera.

The University newspaper provides great experience in the
realm of journalism and news coverage. Watch

WBGU-FM
WBGU 88.1 FM is a 1,000 Watt FCC Licensed non-commercial station. The format of the station is freeform and focuses on promoting underground and underrepresented music. As of September 2008, the studio has been fitted with a new digital system. General Manager: Ryan Glover - rglover@wbgufm.com.

WFAL FALCON RADIO
The department's oldest student-run organization, WFAL was formerly the campus AM station known as 1610 AM-WFAL. As of Summer 2008, WFAL has grown into a web-focused medium of content transmission, and has also changed its identity to WFAL "Falcon Radio." On the web at www.falconradio.org, as well as Time Warner Cable channel 21 in Wood County, WFAL features music ranging from Modern and Classic Rock to Reggae, Hip Hop, R & B, Soul and Motown. Bowling
Green Radio Sports Organization (BGRSO)
BGRSO broadcasts BGSU's football, hockey, men's and women's
basketball, and baseball games. It is responsible for producing
the only college sports talk radio show, "On the Line."
It airs on 88.1 FM, so tune in to get your fix on all the
Falcon sports.
BG Reel Productions
Reel Productions is an open workshop for student-produced film-television-video-web projects in video format. Students explore interests in various genres, including entertainment, news and newsmagazine, feature, documentary, and webisodes. After proposing and planning a production, final projects are distributed via the OSTN (Ohio Student Television Network). Some projects also contribute to community service.
WBGU-PBS
TCOM has a long-standing and close relationship with the University's
public television station, WBGU-PBS. Students can be involved
with WBGU in many ways, including: paid employment, internships,
and independent studies. The professional staff, some of whom
teach in TCOM, maintain training and mentoring programs to
help students prepare for their careers in telecommunications.
