Media Sales Kit Instruction

The Media Sales Kit is an important tool to show prospective advertisers about your media outlet.  It not only provides essential documents that help the advertiser make a purchase decision, but also gives a good introduction of your media outlet.  In this media sales kit assignment, you are going to work in pairs (you can choose the partner yourself or ask the instructor to assign one for you) in preparing for the sales kit.

The media outlet for which you are preparing the sales kit is WFAL.   Information about the station is provided on a separate sheet.  The items to be included in the sales kit are:

  1. A sales kit cover (in a folder format with special design)
  2. A station coverage map or related info about the geographical coverage about the station
  3. Basic info about the station including programming, format, etc.
  4. An advertising rate card and other sponsorship packages with policy and terms
  5. Highlights of audience research information that help advertiser understand the audience profile of the station
  6. Comparison with other campus radio stations, BG News and Toledo radio stations.
  7. Introduction of the Bowling Green market (especially the campus market) for advertisers who are not familiar with Bowling Green (e.g., national advertising agencies)

Note: All research data/statistical reference must display the data source in the sales kit.
