Middle Class Family
Spent time on weekends going to lectures at a local museum
Spent summers working for a small electronics company

1966 was hired by Salomon Brothers to work on wall street
Became a partner at Salomon Brothers in 1972
In 1981 the Phibro Corporation purchased Salomon and Bloomberg was fired.

1984 Bloomberg starts selling terminals to Merrill Lynch which provided real-time financial data
June 1988 the Bloomberg trading system launched
By November 1990 Bloomberg had installed 10,000 terminals around the world and launched Bloomberg News
Bloomberg Cont.
1992 Bloomberg magazine came out and they also acquired WNEW-AM radio
September 1992 Bloomberg had installed his 20,000 terminal
Bloomberg radio followed in January 1993 with WBBR AM 1130 “The news that matters to you”

December 1993 Bloomberg Multimedia launched
Following in 1994 was Bloomberg TV
