I am a second-year Sociology graduate student who is currently working towards earning my Master's degree in Applied Demography.
For my thesis, I am planning on using Census data on education and interstate migration to study the "brain drain" effect
on certain areas of the United States, as well as using GIS to create maps to illustrate this effect. In my first year, I
had teaching assistantship assignments with Drs. Sanchez, Porter, and Mazzarella. Currently, I have a research assistantship
with the Center for Family and Demographic Research here at BGSU, where much of my work consists of finding data and building
and analyzing datasets. I plan to graduate and enter the job market in 2010.
