Tara D. Warner is a doctoral student majoring in Crime and Deviance, with a minor in Quantitative Methodology. Her research
focuses on the impact of both structural and cultural contextual factors on individual behavior, health, and well-being, with
a particular focus on emerging adulthood. Examples include an examination of the impact of immigrant assimilation on substance
use, identification of risk factors for sexual assault on college campuses, and an analysis of competing settings for family
violence. She is currently a research analyst for the Toledo Adolescent Relationships Study (TARS), and recently completed
the construction of a contextual dataset to be used for studying neighborhood effects on demographic transitions in adolescence
and emerging adulthood.
