Giordano, Longmore and Manning Study the Secret Love Lives of Teenage Boys!

This past year have been very productive for Peggy C. Giordano, Monica A. Longmore, and Wendy D. Manning's research on adolescent romantic relationships.  In April, they appeared in American Sociological Review (2006, 71:  260-287) "Gender and the Meanings of Adolescent Romantic Relationships:  A Focus on Boys."  Earlier this Fall, their work appeared as a two-page spread in the September 4th, 2006 Time Magazine "The Secret Love Lives of Teenage Boys."  Shortly after, Peggy appeared on Good Morning America to talk about the social and romantic contexts of boys' first intimate experiences.  Peggy also was honored this year by election as Fellow for the American Society of Criminology.  Wendy continues her service as President of the Assocation of Population Centers.  Monica serves as principal investigator on an NIH grant to study teenagers' identity and sexuality.
