Robert A. Lonardo is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Sociology at Bowling Green State University majoring in crime
and deviance with a minor emphasis in quantitative research methods. His research interests include juvenile delinquency,
life course criminology, adolescence, and romantic relationships. Mr. Lonardo’s dissertation research focuses on the selection
of romantic partners and their influence on delinquency, crime, and substance use from adolescence to early adulthood. For
the past three years he has worked as a research assistant for Dr. Peggy C. Giordano and the Toledo Adolescent Relationships
Study (TARS).
