Antwan Jones was the former Sidney A Ribeau Presidential Fellow at Bowling Green State University. He is a social demographer
whose primary research interests lie in the areas of race/ethnic/cultural studies, mortality and health, spatial/areal demography
and quantitative methodology. He has a number of ongoing projects including: an examination of the racial effects of martial
transitions and trajectories on health behaviors and outcomes among the elderly; an examination of hypersegregation and its
effects on Asians' and Asian Americans' health, wealth and educational attainment in majority Black communities; and, an examination
of the role of biosocial stressors in explaining the racioethnic mortality differentials throughout the life course. Antwan
also serves on the American Sociological Association's Student Forum Advisory Board and is involved in many professional,
civic and university organizations.
