Internships

Any concentration may involve cooperative education placements or internships which offer an opportunity for students to work in settings where they can apply their knowledge and learn more about careers in their area of study, as well as cognate courses in other departments.

Students must register for internship credit in the department. The prerequisite for Soc 489 (the internship number) is 12 hours in sociology. From 1 - 5 hours may be taken during one semester and it may be repeated once for credit. Consult the Director of Undergraduate Studies for more information.
