Summer Program
Our 8 week summer program during the months of June and July offers intensive Spanish language classes at the beginning, intermediate,
and advanced levels. Classes in literature, civilization and culture are available to students who have completed Spanish

need help outside of class. Undergraduate students are required to live in Spanish host homes, thus increasing their exposure
to the Spanish language and culture. Weekend cultural excursions are part of the learning experience and are included in the
cost of room and board.

Students eligible to participate in the 15 week semester (fall or spring) or academic year program must have completed SPAN
202 (4th semester college Spanish) or its equivalent. However, the program is not just for Spanish majors or minors. In addition
to courses in Spanish language, literature, and civilization, students can also study geography, art history, political science
and popular culture. All classes are taught in Spanish and tutoring is available at no additional charge for students who
need help outside of class. Undergraduate students are required to live in Spanish host homes, thus increasing their exposure
to the Spanish language and culture. Weekend cultural excursions are part of the learning experience and are included in the
cost of room and board.
