The academic year program is divided into two semesters, corresponding approximately to the academic calendar on the BGSU campus. The two-month summer sessions take place during the months of June and July (approximately). All courses are regular university offerings and receive credit directly from the Office of the Registrar of BGSU.
Students may choose to study abroad for the academic year or one semester (Fall or Spring) at the Institut des Etudes Françaises de Touraine, where BGSU has maintained an undergraduate program for over 35 years. Those studying in France during the Fall may also participate in an optional two-week study module in Paris, which is organized as an intensive introduction to the history of Paris and the place of Paris in the history of France. Students electing to study during the summer may elect to spend both June and July in France or June in France and July in Burkina Faso. For more details, see the Program Overview.
