 |
| |
The Canadian Studies Center at BGSU invited two Francophone-Canadian artists to campus. Yves Beauchemin, Author His 1981 novel, Le Matou (The Alley Cat), which was translated into 15 languages, was widely acclaimed. We, at La Maison Française were delighted to have him as a special guest for a lovely brunch, sponsored by the Canadian Studies Center, on September
27, 2005. Mr. Beauchemin shared his experience as a Francophone writer with us in a casual setting, allowing us to ask as
many questions as we liked. Thanks to Elizabeth Forrester of Canadian Studies we have some wonderful pictures of his visit. Léa Pool, Acclaimed Filmmaker Following a screening of The Blue Butterfly, we were pleased to have the visit of Léa Pool to La Maison for another wonderful brunch and the opportunity to discuss her work.
