Description of the Current Weight Loss Program

Each year we conduct a weight loss intervention. Because we use the data for research purposes, the intervention is available to the public at no charge. The program typically begins in the fall or early in the new year. The program emphasizes gradual weight loss, increased physical activity, and reduced calories and fat intake through permanent lifestyle changes.

This year we are examining the effectiveness of a group based weight loss intervention. You will be asked to eat a self-selected, low-fat, low-calorie diet.
