GENERAL INFORMATION
REGISTRATION
Registration and breakfast begins at 8:30am on Saturday, October 25, 2008, in 308 McMaster Meeting Room in the Bowling Green
State University Bowen-Thompson Student Union (BTSU). The workshop led by Dr. Michael Bitz, founder of the Comic Book Project,
will begin at 9:00am and run until 12:15pm. A break will occur at 10:30am. The continental breakfast will include scrambled
eggs, sausage, bacon, muffins, fruit cup, coffee, orange juice, and water.
We have several seats available. If you know of other teachers who would be interested in attending, please tell them to come.
On-site registrations are welcome!
WORKSHOP PARKING
Metered parking is available at the Bowen-Thompson Student Union, where the workshop will take place. Bowen-Thompson Student

Self-parking in the BGSU Visitor Information Center Parking Lot is free. From there, you can take a shuttle to the Bowen-Thompson
Student Union. Also, you may obtain a visitors' parking permit at the Visitor Information Center (http://www.bgsu.edu/map/buildings/page14041.html) which will allow to you to park in a lot near the Student Union.
OTHER INFORMATION
The Comic Book in Popular Culture conference is running concurrently with this workshop. Special conference events will include
a University Bookstore book exhibit related to the conference theme and Browne Popular Culture Library comics collection exhibit
on Friday and Saturday from 10:00am to 2:00pm in the France Stone Foundation Room, 306 Bowen-Thompson Student Union. Feel
free to visit this room after the teachers’ workshop.
