CALL FOR PAPERS On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the debut of Superman, the Center for Popular Culture Studies in the Department of Popular Culture at Bowling Green State University is hosting
a conference October 24-25, 2008 on THE COMIC BOOK IN POPULAR CULTURE
We invite proposals for scholarly presentations on a wide range of topics related to Comic Books (superheroic and non-superheroic),

e-mail address, FAX number. � Media/AV Equipment Request (see Policy below). MEDIA/AUDIO-VISUAL EQUIPMENT POLICY: The Center and BGSU Bowen-Thompson Student Union will supply all session rooms with laptop (Microsoft Word PowerPoint, CD
& DVD, PC or Mac with internet connection), video projector, screen, and on-site technical support, if requested in advance.
Presenters may not use their own personal equipment.
