Details: CRITICAL METHODOLOGIES AND POPULAR NARRATIVES, School of Cultural and Critical Studies

The School of Cultural and Critical Studies invites applications for a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Cultural and Critical Studies to begin August 2012. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses on interdisciplinary and critical methods of research and popular narratives (which may include film, television, literature, new media, or other formats) as they shape and express intersecting identities of race, gender, sexuality, nationality and/or social class. Earned Ph.D. in related field preferred; ABDs will be considered. The position will be a joint appointment between the School of Cultural and Critical Studies and the Department of Popular Culture.

Qualifications: Applicants should send a cover letter, curriculum vitae, an example of scholarly work, and evidence of teaching effectiveness (such as teaching evaluations, syllabi, and statement of teaching philosophy). Additionally, applicants should arrange for three confidential and current letters of recommendation to be mailed or emailed directly.
