Remarks |
Registration and Cost: There will be
no charge for anyof the events. It is very important, however,
that you register for each event you plan to attend so we have an
accurate count.
Call for Posters:
There will be a poster session prior to dinner. We hope you will
present a poster of your recent or past work. If you plan to
present, please fill out the space on the registration form on the web
site.
Call for Papers:
The fall issue of The
Spectrum, the journal of the Center for Photochemical Sciences,
will be dedicated to Doug. If you would like to contribute an
article, please e-mail Pat Green, Spectrum
editor, at pat.green1@mac.com
so she can get a head count of expected articles. The
articles will be edited by the Spectrum staff. Please notify Pat
Green
by July 15 if you plan to contribute an article. Deadline for article
submission will be August 30, 2008.

SHARE YOUR RECOLLECTIONS AND PICTURES
There are several ways you can send your recollections and birthday
wishes.
Memory Book:
We will be compiling a memory book to give to Doug at the dinner.
Any note, memento or pictures (these will not be returned) you would
like to add to this collection must be sent to Bowling Green by July
15,
2008. Please send to: Alita Frater, Center for
Photochemical Sciences, Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green,
OH 43403.
Video Message:
There will also be a room set aside in the Union on October 11 from 8
a.m. - 12 p.m. and 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. for you to video a personal message
for Doug that will be compiled and given to him on a DVD.
Video Presentation:
We are also putting together a video presentation to run during the
cocktail hour of pictures of Doug's life and work. Please send
pictures by July 15 as well to the above address. These will be
returned.
Note:
When sending photos or other materials, please indicate if they are for
the memory book or for the video presentation.
Neckers' Scholars: Consider making a donation to the Douglas C. Neckers Endowment Fund.
Group Picture:
A professional photographer has been hired to take a group
picture. You will be able to order a copy of a picture if you
want.
Accommodations:
We have set aside blocks of rooms at The Holiday Inn Express
(419-353-5500) and Best Western Falcon Plaza (419-352-4671).
Special rates are available until September 9, 2008. Be sure and
refer to the D. C. Neckers Symposium. Other rooms are available
at the Hampton Inn (419-353-3464).
