Academic Background:

B.Sc. in Chemistry (Ramakrishna Mission R. College, Narendrapur, India 2001)

M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry (IIT-Bombay, India, 2003)

Awards:

McMaster Outstanding Academic Fellowship, 2004-2005.

McMaster Outstanding Research Fellowship, 2005-2006.

McMaster Outstanding Research Fellowship of Distinction, 2006-2007.

Research Interest:

Polyacenes are significant compounds for electronic applications, such as organic superconductors, organic field effect transistors (OFET) and organic light emitting diodes (OLED). Considering the importance of this class of molecules, I am interested in synthesizing and stabilizing the polyacene backbone of higher acenes in such a way that they can be useful for electronic applications.
