Who are we?
We are a group of mostly undergraduate (and occasionally graduate) philosophy students who get together for various philosophical
activities. We welcome non-philosophy majors as well.
What do we do?
We get together regularly to philosophize, but in a pretty informal way. Sometimes we watch a film or a television show (e.g.
"Animatrix") and then talk about it afterwards over pizza and refreshments. Sometimes, we have someone in to give a talk,
or there might be a short reading around which we center our discussion.
In past years, our activities have also included co-sponsoring the "Great Debates" series, in which controversial topics were
debated by faculty members and graduate students. We're open to any suggestions about future activities. In Spring 2009,
we are planning some Buddhist meditation workshops.
