1. Regular Membership. Persons being (re)nominated for regular membership on the Graduate Faculty of the Department of Philosophy
should have the following qualifications and supporting evidence should be presented with each (re)nomination.
a. The faculty member should hold the doctorate.
b. The faculty member must show evidence of a continuous record of productive scholarship. As a minimum, the faculty member
must have the equivalent of two peer reviewed journal articles or chapters of edited books in the most recent five year period.
(Publication of at least one refereed book or monograph will count as equivalent to the two journal articles or book chapters.)
c. The faculty member must demonstrate active and productive participation in the instruction of graduate students. This may
include activities such as graduate teaching, thesis or dissertation guidance, program planning and course development, and
advising of graduate students.
