PROGRESS REPORT ON DOCTORAL DISSERTATION

Department of Philosophy

NOTE: The student must submit by the departmental deadline a progress report to the Director of Graduate Studies each academic term including summers in which the student is registered for doctoral research (Phil 799). The report must be signed and dated by the student and the student’s faculty supervisor in order for the student to register. The report must be typed in the following format:

• 1. Current title of dissertation

• 2. Supervisor and members of committee

• 3. Chapter outline. List of all chapters with the following information about each chapter:
  • Title of chapter
  • What you have accomplished so far on the chapter: e.g. first draft completed and submitted to dissertation supervisor; draft submitted to committee; chapter outlined but not yet written, etc.

• 4. Projected date of completion of next stage: e.g. first draft to be submitted to committee by December 1, 2005

• 5. Projected date of completion of first (or next revised) draft of the entire dissertation
