James Child 1941-2005

Sadly, Jim Child, one of our long-serving faculty members passed away over the 2005/6 winter break. A memorial page to Jim can be found on the department website here. Our thoughts are with Lynn and the rest of their family.

Babies

Philosophers continue to be productive in the baby department. Here are some of their fruits:

James and Margaret Taylor became the parents of Octavia, born on December 6, weighing 8lb 10oz.

Former graduate student, Sherisse Webb and her husband became the parents of Nigel John Heathorn-Webb on September 18, 2005.

Chris Morris's son Stephen is doing well and hasn't forgotten his midwestern roots, as can be seen below.

Marriages

Galen and Amy were married in the spring of 2005. Here they are looking extremely pleased with themselves (and rightly so).
