The department has been searching for faculty to replace those we lost over the last year. To date, one tenured position has been filled: we are delighted to have David Shoemaker joining us in the Fall. Margy's son Jonathan De Luca, whom many of us remember from when he was waist-height, celebrated his 21st birthday on June 18th. (Now do you feel old?)

Priscilla Ibarra's family experienced both joy and sorrow within two weeks as Priscilla first lost a grandfather but then gained a niece, Jasmine, shortly afterwards.

Diane Petteys celebrated her, erm, twenty-somethingth birthday in March, and it was such a good party that Steve Weimer decided to claim that it was his birthday too. Here are some photographs taken at the event.
