Issue 2- Summer 2004

The Fish Resurfaces!

Welcome to the second issue of The Chocolate Fish! It's been an eventful year since the last issue, so there is much to tell.

Click on the links to the left to find out about some of what has been happening. If there's anything you can think of that has been left out, or if any details are incorrect please don't hesitate to write to the Fish.

This issue is somewhat larger than the previous one. We have introductions to two of our newest faculty members, Janice Dowell and Steven Wall. Some of the new features include a "state of the department" piece from Department Chair, David Sobel, an interview with some graduate alumni currently working in non-academic settings, and a "blast from the past" page with some familiar faces for you to indulge in a bout of nostalgia over. Look for these in future issues too.

The Fish herself has been busy too. Inspired by her new philosophical surroundings, she has been dipping into some of the classics. I managed to catch her unawares.

"I can tell just by looking at him, this is a guy who knew his plaice."

What is she thinking? Send me your own captions to be inserted below the photo. The person who sends in the funniest entry will receive a chocolate fish of their very own and it will be featured in the next issue.

I hope you enjoy this issue.

Ian Young, Editor.
