Department of Public and Allied Health

The Department of Public and Allied Health has four major programs listed below. The Applied Health Science program also offers three specializations including: Health Science, Allied Health, and Applied Microbiology. This is a fairly new department with exciting educational possibilities. Please visit the sites of the individual programs to learn more.

AIDS Education Program

Applied Health Science

Health Science (preparation for physical therapy, occupational therapy, medical school, physician assistant, etc.)

Allied Health (for students who have completed an associate's degree in an allied health profession like radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, dental hygiene, etc.)

Applied Microbiology (for students interested in a career in microbiology or biotechnology)

Health Care Administration (for students who are looking for a career in the management arena)

Community Health (for students interested in disease prevention programs)

Respiratory Care (for students with an Associate degree in RC who wish to upgrade)

Medical Laboratory Science

Public Health graduate program (in cooperation with The University of Toledo)

Public Health Minor requirements for undergraduates
