The Society for Neuroscience is an international group of over 37,000 scientists and clinicians interested in neurophysiology, molecular biology, behavior, and related medical research.

The local chapter promotes interaction between researchers at BGSU and the University of Toledo and fosters neuroscience research and education in Northwest Ohio.

Brain Awareness Week

Through awards from the Grass Foundation, prominent scientists are brought to the two universities to speak about their research.

Grass Traveling Scientist Lectures

The chapter also exposes graduate students and undergraduates working in member labs to ongoing research in the region. Several graduate students have been provided travel expenses through the chapter to attend annual meetings and present their projects.
