Center for Neuroscience, Mind & Behavior
BRAIN AWARENESS LECTURES
The J. P. Scott Center for Neuroscience, Mind & Behavior at Bowling Green State University is dedicated to sharing its neuroscience and behavioral expertise with the wider community. Our goal is to educate with respect to the modern fascination of brain and behavior and to raise awareness about the devastation of neurological disease as well as to mentor an understanding of recent research developments dedicated to their cures.
The Center hosts annual lectures for the public focused on brain and nervous system disorders during Brain Awareness Week : "Unraveling the Mysteries and Delivering the Cures". These events have been partially funded and sponsored by the Society for Neuroscience, The DANA Alliance for Brain Research, The National Science Foundation and local community sponsors. Bowling Green State University has been active in community outreach in a number of ways and providing this public forum to discuss brain research, new developments in neurology, psychiatry and clinical psychology and related fields is essential for growth and development of the link between the general public and university research.
