PEMBERVILLE - Herbert A. HoIlister. 63, Ohio 105, died Friday at St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo.
Hollister had been a mathematics professor at Bowling Green State University for 30 years, retiring in 1994.
He was a member of the Wood County Board of Realtors, the Pemberville Civic Club, and the Bowling Green Men's Chorus, and
a former member of the Eastwood Local School Board.
Hollister was also a member, lay pastor and past elder of the First Presbyterian Church, Pemberville.
He graduated from Allegheny College in 1955 and received a master's degree in 1962 and doctorate in 1965 from the University
of Michigan.
He was born Dec. 11. 1933, in North East, Pa., to Carleton and Esther (Fuller). Hollister. He married Carolyn Homer July 2,
1955 in North East, Pa. She survives.
Also surviving are three-sons, Holly and Jack, Bowling Green, and Bill, Richmond, Va.; one daughter, Lynda "Rose" Baker, Chicago;
a sister, Charlotte Weinkeimer, North East, Pa.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the church with burial in Pemberville Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. and Monday at 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Marsh Funeral Home, Pembervile, and
Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the the church.
Memorials may be made to the church's memorial fund, Helen Rolfes Mathematical Fund through the Eastwood Educational Foundation.
