Spring Meeting

The Spring meeting of the Ohio Section of the MAA will be held at The Ohio State University, Columbus OH on Friday and Saturday April 4 - 5, 2003. The meeting starts at 1:30 P.M. Friday and continues through 1 P.M. Saturday.

At the business meeting, elections for sectional officers will take place (see the report of the nominating committee to view the list of candidates) and the winner of the prestigious Ohio Section Award for Distinguished College or University Teaching of Mathematics will be announced.

Contributed papers and student talks are scheduled for Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. Full program now available below.

As usual, student activities are a vital part of this meeting. There is no charge, but students must register. Besides being invited to attend all the regular sessions, student talks are a major part of the program. These will be given at the contributed paper sessions on both Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. There is also, a Friday student pizza party at no charge. Students will rejoin the group for dessert and the evening activities after the pizza party and the regular banquet. Graduate students may want to attend the banquet.
