BGSU was one of seven colleges honored by the U.S. Department of Education in a ceremony held March 27, 2000, in Washington, D.C. BGSU was recognized for its innovative and effective program to prevent alcohol and other drug abuse among college students. "You are to be commended for the promising work that you are conducting," Deputy Secretary of Education Frank Holleman told awardees. "Campuses around the nation can look to you for inspiration." |
