An internship can provide a great opportunity for helping you explore and prepare for a career while honing your job-seeking skills and obtaining real world experience to list on your resume. The History adviser can help you arrange an internship or you can arrange your own. To earn college credit for the internship, you will need to meet with the History adviser, complete the internship contract, and fulfill its requirements.

Internship Contract - This internship contract must be completed in consultation with the History Adviser and your on-site internship supervisor.

Portfolio Guidelines - Completion of a portfolio is required to earn college credit for an internship in History. The portfolio is a creative product that documents and presents your work. These guidelines should spark your imagination and help you develop a complete and user-friendly final products.

History students at BGSU have completed a wide variety of internships in the area (while taking classes at BGSU) in Washington, D.C. (as part of the Washington Center program), and in foreign countries (while studying abroad). The possibilities area endless.
